JULY 14, 2023
As you might have gathered, we are pretty proud of the place we call home.
If you are travelling to VERVE from a distance, or it will be your first time to Tisbury, we highly recommend tagging on a day or two and exploring our beautiful countryside.
Here’s a suggested itinerary, taking in some of our top picks:
Walk around Fonthill Estate.
Pick up a coffee and map from the Beckford Arms (5 mins drive from the festival) and walk around the estate taking in the vast lake, woodland, cute villages and estate stud farm.
Visit the Indie Shops of Shaftesbury
Wander around the market town of Shaftesbury, home to the famous Gold Hill as well as lots of independent shops including
Art & Nature Bookshop Folde
Lifestyle Boutique Mine
Flower & Coffee Shop Pamplemousse
Handmade Soaps Farm Soap Co
Eco Products Coconut and Cotton
Soy Candles & Ceramics The Botanical Candle Co
Lunch at Pyhouse Kitchen Garden or a Chickpea Pub
Site of VERVE 2021 and one of Britain’s Top 100 Restaurants (The Good Food Guide), Pythouse Kitchen Garden serves fire-cooked food in a Victorian walled garden.
Or for something more casual check out the Chickpea Group who have 5 local ‘Country Boozers’ which we love
Stargazing at Win Green
Observe our Dark Skies at the highest point in the Cranborne Chase, with uninterrupted views all the way to the Isle of Wight.
